The reader would be best served by first reading J.C. Hulsey’s, award winning book, “Rebecca.” This novel continues that story. A synopsis of the original: Yancy Calhoun’s was an outlaw. He ordered a beautiful, red haired, green eyed, woman passenger to come with him. The young lady’s name was Rebecca. The couple became fond of each other. It turned out, he had actually had rescued her from a forced marriage to an older banker, her Father owed money. Rebecca noticed some food and jewelry missing and discovered a ten-year-old girl hiding in the barn. The child had been beaten and abandoned by her parents. After their marriage, Yancy and Rebecca adopted Suzy.
